My new skirt

A few days ago I made a skirt with the sewing machine I got for my birthday. Nana was over at our house and so she helped me quiet a bit. It was very fun and easy. Now I am making some pajama pants.

I love the fabric! Isn't sewing fun?
Your Nana is so great to help you learn.

We are getting ready to sew Eve a dress similar to the style found in the new Nancy Drew movie.

That is such a pretty skirt! I'm really impressed. I couldn't sew a button on a shirt, so you've got me beat by a long shot... keep up the good work! :)

Very cool!!!
I am impressed. I think making clothes is difficult. Isn't Nana Great!!

BTW, you can use that for your Gospel in Action thing (is it still called 'Gospel in Action'?)

What Meg found fun when she got her own machine was to make crazy quilt squares using her old clothes. After a while she had enough squares to make a quilt and its cool seeing her old things in the quilt. By making squares you can be creative and make each one different depending on your old things, like putting a pocket in the middle of a square or something. Also, you don't need help from anyone else because its your square and your ideas.

Auntie Lee, that's a really cool idea to make a crazy quilt of old clothes!
